          SPINAL DECOMPRESSION TECHNIQUE

The history of this treatment starts in Ancient Greece.

In early 1900 had become the subject of study by osteopaths.

The main representative of modern Flexion Distraction technique  considered the American chiropractor Doctor J. COX, DC who still continues very committed to research in his private clinic in the United States.

The original, COX Flexion Distraction or Just Flexion-distraction, is currently the effective manipulation technique used in America   . The Flexion Distraction has explored so much that we could safely say that this moment is the only 100% accepting clinically validated manipulations technique and a high effective non-surgery treatment of slipped disc, back pain, sciatica, and stenosis*.

*A recent study conducted in a large sample of patients at Palmer College of Chiropractic and the National University of Health Sciences, showed similar good results and significant reduction in pain. The precise diagnosis should of course always be the basis for any therapeutic intervention.

While in America, approximately a lot of experts use this technique in Europe it s quite difficult to find someone.

SDD is utilized for many conditions such as:

  •  "Whiplash"

  • Disc Herniation (Very effective)
  • Ruptured Disc (Very effective)
  •  Bulging Disc (Very effective)

  • Sciatica (Very effective)
  • Scoliosis (Very effective)
  • Stenosis

  • Radiculitis

  • Spondylolisthesis

  • Transitional segment

  • Post surgical Syndromes (Very effective)
  • Headache
  • ......and  much more ….

  • Clinical days

    Aims of our Course 2011

The course will enable practitioners, to expand their range of treatable conditions and to achieve more effective results than conventional manual therapy practitioners.

Participants will learn how they can help alleviate acute and chronic pain and ailments using a variety of manual adjustment techniques by evaluating and treating dysfunctions, within the musculoskeletal, visceral, cranial, myofascial and nervous systems.

Participants will learn hands-on diagnosis and treatment and will be presented with a model of how each component inter-relates and how some factors such as leg length discrepancy, spinal and visceral abnormalities influence and perpetuate dysfunctional patterns and chronic pain.

At the completion of the Course:

Participants will be conversant in recent developments in anatomy, patho-anatomy and  the inter- related changes of the facial, neural, visceral, cranial and spinal column.

Participants will be proficient in applying spinal joint, neural, visceral, facial, cranial and muscle, examination procedures

Participants will be proficient in determining a differential diagnosis based on an integrated examination of the joint, muscle, facial, visceral, cranial and neural, systems

Participants will be able to introduce and formulate clinically meaningful concepts and effective treatment programs appropriate and suitable for the assessed condition.

Participants will be proficient in applying an appropriate manual and manipulative therapy treatment strategy, incorporating manual or/and manipulative techniques and specific therapy exercise
